Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) secretary Unmesh Khanvilkar drops a major hint about a return of star Indian player Shreyas Iyer to the India team for the upcoming series against New Zealand.
MCA secretary Unmesh Khanvilkar said that the team will decide later that the star player Shreyas Iyer will be featured in the remaining matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, Iyer has been at the BCCI Centre of Excellence since December 25.
The doctors are still seeing the star player and monitoring his recovery. Iyer is still under observation due to his serious spleen injury, he suffered him during the third ODI game against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground in October.
“No, we have not spoken to Shreyas yet. But we will speak to him about his availability. As of now, there is no official confirmation on this. But it may come in the next few days from him,” Khanvilkar told IANS on Sunday
