ICYMI: Trump Wished Us 'What May Be' Our Last 'Merry Christmas'

I’m not sure what was in the GOP’s Christmas punch this year, but a bunch of them went absolutely feral over the holidays, with Sen. Chris Garten (R-Ind.) sharing AI-generated images of himself beating up Santa Claus in front of the state’s Capitol Building; the House Judiciary Committee’s claim on Twitter that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is “definitely a Republican”; and President Trump spending Christmas Day going nuclear on Truth Social.

When you find out the North Pole is trying to bring more bureaucratic overreach & unfunded mandates down the chimney disguised as “Christmas cheer.” Not on my watch. We The People run Indiana, not the bureaucrats.

Trump seems to have had a screen-filled Christmas, posting more than 100 times during the entirety of December 25. (Maybe he was just really bored with his Mar-a-Lago guests…?) He declared the Epstein files a hoax; justified his administration’s bombing of a civilian town in Nigeria; ranted about how much he hates Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.); and continued doubling down on racist attacks against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), reposting videos that allegedly tied fraud cases to the state’s Somali community, and writing, “Throw her out of the U.S., Now!”

At around 7 p.m., Trump wrote, “Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to ‘drop him like a dog’ when things got too HOT,” adding that he was the only one to actually “drop” Epstein, and he did it before it was cool. (Would be pretty “cool” if he “dropped” Ghislaine Maxwell too, but here we are; she herself apparently had a pretty cushy Christmas, with some extra phone privileges as a holiday treat.)

In the same post, he called Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.)—who co-authored the law requiring the government to release all the Epstein Files—a “lowlife,” said the “Failing” New York Times published fake election news, and even threw in a mention of the “Russia hoax.” He signed off with an unsettling warning: “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas!” Terrifying.

On Boxing Day (December 26), Trump continued the charade by asserting the DOJ has found a million more pages on Epstein-related files. “The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans,” he continued. “Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country!”

The grinch-like meltdown is, in part, explained by Trump’s continuing fight (and failure) to distance himself from Epstein, the known pedophile, and comes just days after the Justice Department was forced to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act (which Trump signed in November despite his best efforts). The DOJ has since released, unreleased, and delayed the release of the files in full.
