Where Are Jodi Hildebrandt & Ruby Franke Now? 'Evil Influencer' Netflix Documentary Airs
Netflix‘s true crime documentary, Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story, is out now (December 30).
The disturbing abuse case centers around former family counselor Jodi Hildebrandt, as well as parenting YouTuber Ruby Franke.
Jodi ran the now defunct life coach company ConneXions, and met Ruby through their Utah church community. Authorities later revealed that the two women carried out severe physical and psychological abuse against two of Ruby‘s minor children, justifying their actions through religious extremism and claims of casting out evil spirits.

Jodi pled guilty to four counts of aggravated child abuse, and was sentenced to four consecutive terms of 1 to 15 years in February of 2024.
She is currently serving her time at at Utah State Correctional Facility in Salt Lake City, with her first parole hearing set for December of next year.
Ruby, meanwhile, also pled guilty and received the same sentencing. She is in the same prison as well, but in a separate section. Her first parole hearing is also in December 2026. Watch the trailer above.
