Technology stocks such as TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys saw selling pressure, while Bajaj Finance, Sun Pharma, and ICICI Bank also closed in the red. The broader market outperformed the benchmark indices during the session. The Nifty MidCap 100 index ended 0.95 per cent higher, while the Nifty SmallCap 100 index rose 1.11 per cent.
