Indian telecom companies want to increase charges for international calls coming into the country. They currently receive very little while paying much more for outgoing calls. This difference is exploited by fraudsters for spam and phishing. Operators propose raising termination charges to deter illegal calls and protect consumers. They also seek stricter rules for telemarketers misusing domestic call rules.
