Why We Love This Deal
Though primarily known for its technical outerwear—the kinds of things you’d pack for your next mountainside vacation—Arc’teryx also produces high-performance activewear that shoppers have come to love. Like the brand's jackets, most activewear pieces are still on the luxury side, but one of its lightweight fleece layers, which provides the perfect amount of warmth for running and hiking, has just received a rare price cut at REI.
The Arc’teryx Delta Half-Zip Pullover is on sale for $144 right now, a rare 20% off its normal price of $180. It's one of a handful of the brand's styles that are now on sale at REI, which, in our experience, are likely to sell out fast. This one is still available in sizes S to 2XL in two colors, pale gray and highly visible yellow.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Style: Half-zip fleece jacket
- Fabric: Octa polyester fleece, 40-denier Delta face, Polygiene, 122 g/m2
- Weight: 7.2 ounces (lightweight)

- Best For: Hiking, running, gym sessions, and layering under larger jackets
Arc'teryx's Delta Half-Zip is made with Octa polyester fleece, which provides a unique combination of body heat retention, quick-drying capabilities, and breathability, all while staying very lightweight. It has extra underarm ventilation, elastic cuffs for full-arm comfort, and is treated with a special anti-odor biocidal product for warding off odors even after continued use.
While the warmth-to-weight ratio is spectacular, it's worth noting that this jacket is still very light, weighing in at just 7.2 ounces. That means this isn't the one you'll want to warmth as much as it would be for layering or wearing by itself on a cool (not cold) day, when working out, or going on a cold-weather run, maybe with a vest or running jacket if the temperatures are really low.

What Shoppers Are Saying
Reviews of this jacket are hot and cold—literally. Those who didn't like it mainly point out that it's not very warm, while others say that's what makes them love it so much.
One who bought theirs for trail running said they also "use it at the office and almost every day at home as well." They added, "I run really warm always, so this not being so warm actually works perfectly for me."
In a Reddit conversation about the usefulness of Arc'teryx's Delta Half-Zip products, one user commented, “I love my Delta Half-Zip as a base layer for climbing and hiking. It dries ridiculously quickly when it’s exposed, but packs in significant warmth when covered with a wind shell or soft shell.”
We’re not sure how long Arc’teryx's Delta Half-Zip will stay around at REI—the brand's gear typically sells out in days when it goes on sale, so be sure to pick yours up for under $150 while you still can.
