Mariah Carey Returns to New Year's Rockin' Eve 9 Years After 2017 Incident - Watch Now!
Mariah Carey is making her triumphant return to Dick Clark’s New York’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest!
On Wednesday (December 31), the 56-year-old Grammy-winning entertainer gave her first performance during the ABC broadcast nine years after her 2016 snafu.
While Ryan Seacrest hosted the special live from Times Square in New York City, Mariah performed from Las Vegas.

She was joined on stage by a team of backup dancers and singers. After her performance, Mariah said to the crowd, “Happy New Year!”
This performance went a lot smoother for Mariah than her performance in 2016 where she faced a ton of technical difficulties.
While singing “Auld Lang Syne,” fans suspected Mariah was lip-syncing. Then, when “Emotion” began, Mariah told the crowd that she couldn’t hear the music and she stood on stage trying to figure out where the song was, but she wasn’t able to continue. When “We Belong Together” started, it seemed that Mariah had gotten back on track, but the same thing happened again.
Mariah ended the performance with the background vocals playing and her doing some dance moves on stage before leaving.
She later claimed that Dick Clark Productions “sabotaged” her performance for ratings, but the production company denied those claims.
