The Royal Family’s ‘New Secret Weapon’ Could ‘Cleanse’ the ‘Lingering Stain’ Left by Andrew & Fergie’s Scandals
With former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s notable absence during the royal family’s Christmas celebrations, some outlets are reporting that a new “secret weapon” has emerged and could leave all their scandals behind.
The Express wrote that the royal family used the Christmas celebrations “to erase Andrew” from the narrative. “As the ghost of vile Jeffrey Epstein swirls around Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson,” royal correspondent Chris Riches reported that there’s a “new hope” for the next generation.
Riches noted that Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 6, were the stars during the famous Christmas Day walk through the private estate at Sandringham. The reporter wrote that their “sheer presence reinforces the hope of happier decades ahead on the distant horizon for the embattled royal family.”
“Their beaming smiles and clear ethic of duty and service contrast so starkly with the desperate cash-grab image the Sussexes sadly ooze by the bucket-load in the States,” he continued, emphasizing the rollercoaster that’s been affecting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s business ventures.
“But above all the trio seem both very human and humane in how they show their individual characters, all the while under the judging glare of the public and the press,” the Express reported. Riches also pointed out that their gleaming outlook on the future might be able to “wash clean the lingering stain of Andrew and Fergie—and erode the millstone of Jeffrey Epstein’s memory that still weighs heavily on the royal family.”
King Charles had previously uninvited Prince Andrew or his ex, Sarah Ferguson, from this year’s Christmas celebrations after the latest scandal. Andrew is set to move to a smaller house at Sandringham, reportedly at the beginning of 2026.
Speaking about royal futures, Prince George is gearing up for his future as heir to the throne. The Daily Mail reported that Prince George “demonstrated a new confidence in the spotlight” in 2025. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams emphasized that he’s “being well prepared for his unique royal role.” Though, Kate and William are trying to “acclimatize the future heir to the throne to all the attention without overwhelming him.”
