Finnish Snowboarder Mikko Rehnberg Tears Through the Streets in Wild New Red Bull Edit
In Mikko Rehnberg’s final season competing in the FIS circuit, he finished first at a FIS Big Air contest in Ruka and second in slopestyle. Then a decision was made to shift his focus to the streets, and a new world of possibilities was opened.
From there, his first project, Shift, was released. Made with support from Ride Snowboards and Usva, the project is six minutes worth of hammers.
Now, Rehnberg has put out his second project, Another Brick on the Wall. Filmed throughout Finland, in search of good snow, the project was shot and edited by Arttu Heikkinen. Graphics are from Anni Kärävä. It features the riding of Rasmus Rönkä and Mikko’s sister Karoliina Rehnberg, who is back filming after an injury.
“We have been snowboarding a lot together since we were kids,” he said in a 2024 interview. “She was the one who first started it, and then I wanted to follow her and start snowboarding also. Unfortunately, she broke her ACL last season, so we couldn’t film together that much, but it is always a pleasure to be on a trip with her.”
Another Brick on the Wall is supported by Ride and Red Bull, and is now playing on the Shredbots YouTube channel. You can watch that here.
"While filming for our previous project Shift we had a great and snowy winter,” Rehnberg said. “This season was quite different with a lot of traveling through Finland while searching for snow, and an injury in January which took me out for a month. It was a challenging one, but I’m happy that we didn’t give up and got the project ready!"
