Following a fatal accident involving an Ama Bus, chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep concern over frequent bus mishaps in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. He announced Rs 4 lakh ex gratia for the deceased auto driver's family and ordered enhanced driver training and vehicle inspections. Authorities have since launched extensive checks on Ama Buses and their drivers.
