UPDATE: Bus Driver Diane Crawford Shares Heartfelt Message in New Video, Thanks Supporters Amid Ongoing DOJ Probe into Her Firing for Banning Spanish on Her Bus (VIDEO)

Diane Crawford, the 66-year-old Pennsylvania school bus driver who was fired for posting a sign aimed at stopping bullying on her bus, has released a new video expressing gratitude to supporters who have donated nearly $30,000 to keep her afloat.

Crawford was terminated by the Juniata County School District and Rohrer Bus Service in December for what they deemed a “racially insensitive” sign. Still, she continues to stand by her actions, arguing they were necessary to maintain order and protect all of the students.

The sign read: “Out of Respect to English Only Speaking Students There Will Be No Speaking Spanish on This Bus!”

Crawford explained that the sign targeted a single bilingual student accused of using Spanish to bully and harass English-only speakers, creating chaos on the route.

Despite her intentions, the district labeled it discriminatory and fired her almost immediately, with little opportunity for her to defend herself.

Her story, which exploded online last month, has prompted the DOJ under President Donald Trump to launch a civil rights investigation.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Crawford had served faithfully for over 30 years, transporting kids safely without incident until the sign controversy.

In a new video update for her supporters, Crawford emphasized that English proficiency is required for her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), but learning Spanish was never part of the job.

The firing left Crawford, a lifelong resident and grandmother, in financial distress, relying on Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP benefits. She even turned to antidepressants to cope with the stress of losing her livelihood just shy of retirement.

Conservatives rallied to defend her, including Tom Hennessey, who has become known for launching massively viral fundraisers to help people who are targeted or harmed due to perceived racism.

Hennessey launched a GiveSendGo fundraiser titled “Diane Did Nothing Wrong” just three days before Christmas.

The campaign, aiming for $50,000 to cover her debts, legal fees, and living expenses, has raised nearly $30,000 from hundreds of small donors.

On Monday, Hennessey shared Crawford’s latest video on X, in which she introduces herself and thanks contributors, saying, “I just really wanted to let everybody know that all your donations are so very much appreciated… I love you all. Thank you.”

Crawford reiterates that the funds are crucial for paying off debts from her “overnight” termination and pushes back against critics suggesting she learn Spanish, noting it was never a job requirement.

Hennessy told The Gateway Pundit, “We must push back against multiculturalism gone amok. Diane Crawford was fired just for asking students on her bus to speak English—our country’s primary language. After 30+ years of dedicated service, this 66-year-old was forced into early retirement and left heartbroken. The least we can do is ensure she retires without crushing debt hanging over her.”

Those who wish to contribute to help this sweet grandmother get back on her feet can do so here.
