Tottenham are reportedly weighing up a move for a Premier League attacker this winter as they look to address a growing lack of depth in forward areas.
Tottenham Hotspur are yet to bolster their attack this winter window despite the departure of Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace.
At the moment, both the left and right wing positions are lacking sufficient depth, especially after Mohammed Kudus’ injury, which is expected to keep him out until March.
However, reports now claim that Spurs have set their sights on a complete footballer, one capable of playing across the frontline in the Premier League this winter window.
Tottenham eye Jarrod Bowen move
This update comes from Fichajes, who claim that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen.
The 29-year-old has been a vital cog for the Hammers as they battle relegation and look to stay up this season. West Ham are 18th and are seven points away from safety.
The Spanish outlet claims that it is the Hammers’ likelihood of being relegated that has led to Tottenham monitoring Bowen, with Spurs understood to be the most interested of the clubs keeping tabs on the England international.
Why Spurs cannot sign Bowen during this winter window
There is a feeling that it is inevitable Bowen will be sold should West Ham get relegated, but that remains far from conclusive with the season still at its midway point.
We reported previously that the Hammers could be forced into a sale due to PSR concerns, but Bowen remains vital to West Ham’s survival hopes.
TEAMtalk has confirmed that Tottenham are interested in Bowen and have enquired about the forward in the last four windows.
Bowen’s camp are well aware of Spurs’ interest, although it is also claimed that West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has made it clear Bowen will not leave the club mid-season at any price.
