Saved a shot from Cash from distance, could do little about the first goal.
Pedro Porro – 3
Was sucked into the middle, which left Buendia free behind to score. His positioning continues to be an issue time and time again.
Kevin Danso – 5
Has got his head on some clearances and dealt suitably with Villa’s physical threat.
Micky van de Ven – 5
Captaining the side in the absence of Romero, needs to do more to organise the confusion in the backline.
Ben Davies – 7
Started the match brightly with some interceptions and runs into the Villa half.
Archie Gray – 4
Appeared to be dropping deep between Danso and van de Ven when in possession, hasn’t influenced matters in the Villa half.
Joao Palhinha – 5
Has found himself with little room when on the ball, given Villa’s midfield dominance.
Xavi Simons – 5
This tactical setup certainly does not suit the Dutchman, who has hardly seen the ball.
Mathys Tel – 5
A quieter first half for the Frenchman than he did at Bournemouth in midweek, but has grown into the game.
Wilson Odobert – 4
Had Tottenham’s first shot on target. Has seen plenty of the ball, but has not been effective when in possession.
Richarlison – 5
Forced off after he pulled his hamstring just before the half-hour mark.
Randal Kolo Muani – 4
Came on in place of the injured Richarlison. Saw his goal ruled for offside minutes before the interval.
