New Board Collection Features Iconic Quotes From Founder Jake Burton Carpenter

Jake Burton Carpenter’s legacy has lived on through Burton Snowboards and its riders since his death in November 2019. Now, that legacy is stamped on a group of boards ridden by riders in the Olympics this February.

The limited collection titled ‘From Burton to the World’ debuted at the Laax Open last weekend and will be used by riders at the X Games in Aspen this week. The boards will feature iconic quotes from the late founder.

“Jake built Burton on a simple belief: snowboarding brings people together,” said Donna Carpenter, Jake’s wife and the current Burton owner. “While we watch individual athletes compete, what Jake understood and what our riders embody is that snowboarding has always been about community. ‘From Burton to the World’ celebrates this spirit. Each board carries Jake’s words, but more importantly, ‘From Burton to the World’ represents the passion snowboarders share on and off the mountain. This collection is a tribute to Jake’s vision, which is now carried forward by riders around the world who continue to push the sport while staying true to its soul.”

Riders worked directly with the designers to pick the quotes from Jake that resonated the most. The result is six snowboards with bold colors and bolder quotes.

These are the boards your favorite Burton rider will be on during the Olympics in Milano-Cortina Italy as well.
