Top Chef's Kelsey Barnard Clark Arrested for DUI After Car Accident
Kelsey Barnard Clark has been arrested.
The 35-year-old Top Chef: Kentucky (season 16) winner was taken in and booked on DUI charges in Alabama, according to TMZ.
Per the publication, the police were called to a residential street after Kelsey drove into a mailbox on Wednesday evening (January 21).

After the Dothan PD arrived to the scene, they noticed that she smelled of alcohol and had several other signs of impairment. Field sobriety tests were conducted at the scene, including walking in a straight line and standing on one foot, and she reportedly did not do well, with officers to believe she was impaired.
Kelsey was taken to the Dothan City Jail and booked on DUI.
Per local news, WBRC, Kelsey‘s two children were also in the vehicle with her, and thankfully no one was injured. The children were allowed to go home with a family member.
“We received a call regarding a vehicle striking the mailbox,” Dothan police Public Information Officer Lt. Scott Owens shared in a statement. “Our officers who responded to the scene determined that Ms. Clark was under the influence.”
Kelsey is best known for appearing on Top Chef season 16, which took place in Kentucky, and aired in late 2018/early 2019. Since then, she has penned three cookbooks, and more recently, she appeared as a judge on Netflix competition Next Gen Chef, which aired in 2025.
