Haryana is set to become water self-reliant with World Bank's Rs 5,700 crore assistance. The 'Jal Sanrakshit Haryana Project' will fund canal and minor canal restoration until 2032. Micro-irrigation systems will cover 70,000 acres. Drainage systems will address waterlogging on 2 lakh acres. Sustainable agriculture and groundwater recharge are also priorities. This initiative aims for a modern, well-restored canal network.
