There's Good News And Bad News For Anyone Hoping For Season 2 Of Netflix's Seven Dials
With critics lauding it as “perfect escapism” and audiences firing it to the top of Netflix’s most-watched chart in the UK, chatter has naturally now turned to whether we’ll get another series of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials.
Set in 1925, the series features How To Have Sex actor Mia McKenna-Bruce as Bundle, a young aristocrat who goes about uncovering the truth when a guest is murdered at a lavish country house party.
Adapted by Broadchurch creator Chris Chibnall, the Netflix series also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Nabhaan Rizwan and Martin Freeman – but the question now remains as to whether we’ve seen the last of them in their Seven Dials roles?
Here’s what we know so far…
Will there be a season two of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials?
We don’t have confirmation either way from Netflix.
However, seeing as Seven Dials was tied up in a neat three-part series, covering the entirety of the Agatha Christie book it was adapted from, it’s unlikely we’ll get another series that’s a direct sequel.
Could Bundle from Seven Dials return in another Agatha Christie adaptation for Netflix, though?
There is the opportunity for Bundle to return in a different guise, as the character also features in the Christie book The Secret Of Chimneys, which was published four years before Seven Dials.
Superintendent Battle – played by Martin Freeman – also pops up in The Secret Of Chimneys, as well as the novels Cards on the Table, Murder is Easy and Towards Zero. So, if Chibnall and/or Netflix wanted to keep going with the two Seven Dials characters, that could be one possible way in.
It’s worth noting that the BBC adapted Towards Zero and Murder Is Easy as recently as 2025 and 2023 respectively, so the chances of another TV remake are perhaps slim.
What has Seven Dials’ creator said about the future of the show?
Chibnall told the RadioTimes that a prequel series featuring Bundle was probably off the cards.
“The Secret of Chimneys comes before Seven Dials, and the character of Bundle is quite different in the book,” he said. “So I don’t think there’s a natural prequel or all that kind of stuff.”
Things sounded slightly more promising when the writer spoke to Town & Country, though.
He claimed: “If somebody ever wants to have a conversation with us about doing more, great. But mainly, I’m like I really hope people key into it and love it as much as we do, and love Bundle as much as we do – because it’s been a real privilege to open the door and usher her out into 2026.”
