World Ballet Company stages ‘Cinderella’ in Campbell
Ballet’s a ball
The World Ballet Company is staging a sweetheart of a production on Feb. 14 at Campbell’s Heritage Theatre. “Cinderella” is a family-friendly Valentine’s Day ballet featuring a cast of 40 international dancers representing more than 10 countries, over 150 hand-sewn costumes, handcrafted sets and choreography by Marina Kesler.
The production is in line with World Ballet Company’s belief that ballet is for everyone; performances are designed to appeal to both newcomers and seasoned ballet-goers. Campbell is among the more than 300 cities where the company has performed.
“Cinderella” starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $56.50-$116.50 at https://heritagetheatre.showare.com.
Country crab feed
Just 300 tickets are available for the 28th annual Crab and Pasta Feed hosted by the Country Woman’s Club of Campbell.
Besides food, the event features beer and wine, desserts and fundraising through a silent auction and raffle. The feed is the club’s main fundraiser for its scholarship program and contributions toward community projects.
The Country Woman’s Club of Campbell was formed in 1905 with a mission to increase kindly fellowship; encourage high thought and free speech upon all matters of general interest; foster worthy talent in its midst; and aid community and educational projects such as a library and scholarships.
The feed is set for Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Campbell Community Center. Tickets are $85 at cwcc1905@gmail.com.
