Ancelotti set for Brazil contract extension as CBF President drops hint
Samir Xaud, President of the Brazilian FA, hints that Carlo Ancelotti could already signed a contract extension: ‘Both parties are interested.’
Ancelotti became the Brazil boss less than a year ago, and his contract expires at the end of the 2026 World Cup, but the CBF is ready to offer him a new deal already.
“Talks are already ongoing, and both parties are interested; we are making some bureaucratic changes to continue the work together,” Brazilian FA President Xaud told Lance via TMW.
“An extension before the World Cup begins is very important for Brazilian football. I’ve always said that I believe in medium-long term projects and structured work. He has proved his quality and competence in a short time, as a coach and as a person. He’s perfect for the Brazilian national team and the CBF. We want to continue this work and give him more time to dedicate to Brazilian football.”
