Fenerbahce coach: ‘Simple’ En-Nesyri situation as Juventus talks collapse
Fenerbahçe coach Domenico Tedesco admits the Turkish club are looking for a new striker, but will continue relying on Youssef En-Nesyri until he finds a new club: ‘It’s very simple…’
Morocco international En-Nesyri was an unused substitute in Fenerbahce’s 1-1 draw against Göztepe on Sunday.
The former Sevilla forward held talks with Juventus after the Serie A giants reached an agreement with Fenerbahce over a loan deal with an option to buy.
Tedesco comments on En-Nesyri’s future
Juventus director Giorgio Chiellini, however, confirmed on Sunday that En-Nesyri seeks a permanent transfer, so he’s unwilling to move to Turin on an initial loan deal.
Questioned on the striker’s future at the club, Fenerbahce coach Tedesco said (via Calciomercato.com): “The Youssi situation is very simple from my perspective. Until he’s a Fenerbahce player, he’s one of my players, one of our players. It is also true, however, that we are looking for a striker.”
Juventus are unwilling to wait longer to sign a new centre-forward and have reportedly resumed talks with Manchester United for Joshua Zirkzee.
Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti openly admitted after a 3-0 win over Napoli on Sunday that the Bianconeri need a new centre-forward with different skill sets from Jonathan David.
