The Supreme Court has mandated free biodegradable sanitary pads for all girl students in private and government schools. The court also ordered separate toilets for boys and girls in every school. Disabled-friendly toilets will be a requirement for all educational institutions. Failure by private schools to comply will lead to de-recognition. Governments will be held accountable for ensuring these facilities.
