Firefighters in Argentina’s Chubut province are battling massive wildfires that have burned an estimated 50,000 hectares across Patagonia. Fueled by strong winds, the fires forced road closures and pushed crews to retreat for safety. While provincial fires are now contained, flames continue to spread in Los Alerces National Park, consuming 24,000 hectares of native vegetation and pine forests.
