StubHub Names Most 'Loyal' Fanbase in NFL Ahead of Super Bowl LX
There's no doubt that some NFL fanbases have it better than others. While some teams consistently post winning seasons and playoff appearances, others languish in mediocrity or worse.
All 32 NFL franchises have their share of devoted, diehard fans. As far as which fanbases are the most loyal, StubHub took a crack at determining this in its new study "StubHub’s Most Loyal NFL Fans of 2025-2026: Who Showed Up When It Mattered Most."
How did StubHub determine its most loyal fan rankings?
The rankings were based on StubHub's Fan Loyalty Index, which rates every team on a 0-100 scale across four key metrics:
- Repeat Buyer Rate: Percentage of buyers who purchase tickets to 2+ games for the same team
- Late-Season Resilience: Ticket demand change when playoff hopes are eliminated (Sep-Oct vs Nov-Jan)
- Losing Streak Resilience: Total ticket sales during 3+ game losing streaks
- Year-Over-Year Consistency: Demand stability across 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons
"Wins and losses matter, but they don’t define real fandom,” said Adam Budelli, Head of NFL Partnerships at StubHub. “This year’s report shows that the most loyal fans keep showing up — traveling thousands of miles, buying tickets late in the season, and sticking with their teams year after year, no matter what the standings say.”
The 10 most 'loyal' fanbases in the NFL, per StubHub
- New Orleans Saints
- New York Jets
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Detroit Lions
- Dallas Cowboys
- Green Bay Packers
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Washington Commanders (tied)
- Buffalo Bills (tied)
- New York Giants
The Saints, like the Packers, Giants and Raiders, continue to rank among the most loyal fanbases in the NFL, despite five straight seasons without a playoff appearance and three losing campaigns in that time span.
This reflects "deep-rooted regional and generational support that persists regardless of short-term results," StubHub writes.
Meanwhile, the Giants, Raiders and Jets, who were among the NFL's worst teams this season, finished top three in ticket demand despite 3+ game losing streaks, which included nine-game skids by both the Giants and Raiders.
