Is 'Fallout' Renewed for Season 3? Prime Video Show's Renewal Status Ahead of Season 2 Finale Revealed
Fallout Season 2 comes to an end today (Tuesday, February 3) at 9 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
Based on the beloved video game series, Fallout is “the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them above.”
The new season takes place in the aftermath of Season 1’s finale, taking viewers on a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.
In the finale, “While trying to shut down her father’s operation, Lucy comes face to face with the decapitated head of Representative Welch; The Ghoul and a digitized Robert House get reacquainted.”
The series stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Frances Turner.
As Season 2 comes to an end, many are wondering if the show will be continuing on for another season.

Fallout has been renewed for Season 3!
The announcement was made back in May 2025 by Prime Video, months ahead of the Season 2 premiere.
During a recent interview, the show’s executive producer Todd Howard spoke out about what to expect in the third season, which is set to begin filming in the summer of 2026.
When asked about whether the show will head to locations like Capitol Wasteland or the Commonwealth, he told Dexerto: “I don’t wanna spoil anything, but what I would say is the show has an opportunity more so than a single game to pull things because we can jump locations, we can jump timelines,” he teased.
