Meet Team USA's Freestyle Skiers for Milan-Cortina 2026
Team USA Freeski has quite the talented roster between halfpipe, slopestyle, big air, aerials, and moguls.
Across the disciplines, there are already two Olympic gold medals and a total of eight medals from previous years, not to mention X Games and World Championship medals. There's no doubt the USA is showing up in Milan Cortina with a solid shot at more medals in the freeski categories. So, who are the folks representing Team USA?

Halfpipe
In the men's halfpipe field, Nick Goepper is making waves, coming in with three medals already from Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018, and Beijing 2022, but here's the kicker: all of Goepper's previous medals have come in slopestyle. |
Goepper retired from slopestyle only to make a comeback as a halfpipe skier and has been dominating at competitions since.
Alex Ferreria also has his own share of medals from PyeongChang and Beijing and has been a halfpipe powerhouse since the start. The last name Irving is a name you'll see on both the men's and women's roster in halfpipe, with siblings Birk and Svea competing in the same discipline for the USA.
On the women's side, at just 15 years old, Abby Winterberger is the youngest US Olympian after qualifying in the halfpipe.

Slopestyle & Big Air
Slopestyle and big air is another particularly strong category for Team USA.
Alex Hall is one of the most household names in freeskiing these days with a laundry list of X Games Medals, epic film parts (with his buddy, Hunter Hess!), and his own Olympic gold from Beijing 2022, not to mention a super cool Rao's Homemade sponsorship.
Troy Podmilsak also burst onto the scene this year after winning a World Cup at Secret Garden in China with a legendary triple cork 2160 mute. Alongside Mac Forehand and Konnor Ralph, the men's side is looking super strong in slopestyle and big air.
Marin Hamill and Rell Harwood aren't messing around either. Hamill recently won Knuckle Huck at the X Games, and Harwood won the year prior, after competing in four events over 48 hours at X Games 2024.
Both were also featured in street skiing in Armada's team film, ORNADA. Grace Henderson and Avery Krumme round out the women's roster for women's big air and slopestyle.

Moguls
Team USA moguls is headed up by the incredibly stacked women's roster, including Tess Johnson, who was the youngest ever athlete to be named to the US Freestyle Ski Team at 14, and competed in PyeongChang 2018 at just 17-years-old, Elizabeth Lemley, who has double gold medals from the Youth Olympic Winter Games Gangwon in 2024, and Jaelin Kauf, the current dual moguls World Champion after podiuming in 14 straight events last season.
Including Olivia Giaccio, the women's team took the top four spots in dual moguls at a recent World Cup event. The men's field is headed up by Nick Page, who will compete alongside Charlie Mickel, Dylan Walcyzk (who notably likes to paraglide in his free time), and Landon Wendler.

Aerials
Between the men's and women's side, Team USA aerials already has three Olympians amongst them with Chris Lillis, Winter Vinecki, and Kailia Kuhn.
Lillis won gold in Beijing in 2022 after landing his second quadruple-twisting triple flip in competition, becoming the first American to do so since Jeret Peterson. Kuhn has won two world titles and became the youngest American to win an individual world title in aerials during the 2024/25 season.
Vinecki brings a strong all-around athletic background, after becoming the youngest person to run a marathon on all seven continents at just 14, as well as a number of World Cup podiums and one Olympic start in 2022.
