The advisory urges US citizens, if conditions permit, to consider land routes through neighboring countries such as Armenia and Turkey while avoiding travel toward Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran’s border areas with Pakistan.
If departure is not possible, citizens are advised to remain in secure locations, stock food, water, medicine, and other essentials, and avoid unnecessary movement.
