Jessica Simpson’s Rarely-Seen Tween Son Ace ‘Is Taller Than Mama’ in Sweet Photo
Jessica Simpson’s latest post shows that her son isn’t her mini-me anymore!
In a photo from her Instagram story obtained by EOnline, Simpson shared a rare update on her tween son Ace, saying, “My 12yr old is much taller than mama.” She also set the background music to Ben E. King’s song “Stand By Me,” adding, “Fun fact, he was born to this tune.”
In this photo, we see the sweet mother-son duo rocking casual looks in their kitchen, Simpson in a relaxed hoodie look and her son in a sports jersey, kissing her on the head. It’s true, he’s already towering over his 5′ 3,” and it’s also clear he loves his mama so much; which we always love to see!
For those who don’t know, the Open Book author and her ex-husband, Eric Johnson, have three children together: Maxwell Drew, born on May 1, 2012; Ace Knute, born on June 30, 2013; and Birdie Mae, born on March 19, 2019.
In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Simpson said motherhood is very rewarding for her. “The most rewarding part of being a mother is really just watching my kids grow,” she said. “It’s like, how much knowledge they have about life is just so meaningful to me, and how much heart they put into everything they do. There’s just nothing like the innocence of a child.”
