The singer, who was born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is set to make his Super Bowl halftime show debut this weekend, one week after he won the Grammy for Best Album.

Bad Bunny has offered a few hints about what fans can expect from his performance, but is understandably keeping most of the details under wraps. After all, the element of surprise is often a crucial part of what makes the show so special.

In an interview with Apple Music this week, host Zane Lowe confirmed the show will be 13 minutes long (the halftime show typically runs between 12 and 15 minutes), and the singer opened up about a few things.

"It’s going to be a huge party," he explained. "What people can expect from me … I want to bring to the stage, of course, a lot of my culture. But I really don’t, I don’t want to give any spoilers. It’s going to be fun."

The trailer for the performance also offered a little bit of extra insight. In the clip, Bad Bunny is seen approaching a Flamboyan tree before he plays his song "Baile Inolvidable." He's then joined by dancers from various racial and ethnic backgrounds and ages. But nothing concrete is actually shared in the clip, which is where internet speculation steps in.

Bad Bunny Will Sing Entirely in Spanish and More Super Bowl Rumors

Bad Bunny will sing in Spanish: Many fans are expecting Bad Bunny to perform the entire halftime show in Spanish, especially since his most recent album was also recorded completely in his native language. The singer previously included several sentences in Spanish when delivering his Saturday Night Live monologue last year and joked to the audience, "If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn."

Bad Bunny will recognize Puerto Rican independence: It's also very likely Bad Bunny will make several references to Puerto Rico. Some have speculated that the singer could include imagery of the Puerto Rican independence flag, which includes light blue (the standard flag is red, white, and blue). A black and white Puerto Rican flag is also typically associated with the independence movement.

Potential special guests include Marc Anthony and Cardi B: Plenty of people have theorized that Bad Bunny will include special guests, and the possibilities are fairly endless. Cardi B will already be at the game to support her boyfriend Stefon Diggs (who plays for the Patriots), so it's not a stretch to imagine she could pull double duty.

Additional names that have been tossed out there as possible special guests include Marc Anthony, Young Miko, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Wisin y Yandel, and Gilberto Santa Rosa — and those are only the tip of the iceberg.

The performance will be political: Bad Bunny is certainly not one to shy away from sharing his political beliefs, and he's been an outspoken critic of the actions of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency around the country.

The halftime show often inspires a bit of political action from the artists who perform in it. Kendrick Lamar's 2025 show included a cameo from Samuel L. Jackson as Uncle Sam, who labeled the music "too loud, too reckless, too ghetto."
