Maharashtra has streamlined land conversion by eliminating separate Non-Agricultural (NA) permission, with building plan approval now serving as deemed NA status. The state also abolished annual NA tax, replacing it with a one-time conversion premium, and removed the sanad requirement for bank loans, significantly easing construction and land development processes.
