Now, a new report in TEAMtalk has revealed that the Serbian has ‘long harboured ambitions of testing himself in England’ and that desire has only grown over recent years.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring his situation alongside the Blues, with the outlet claiming that Spurs view the 26-year-old as the ‘long-term solution to lead their attack’, given his physical presence and proven finishing ability.
However, it is explained that Tottenham may struggle to land Vlahovic if they do not qualify for the Champions League, which means that the West London club are ‘in the strongest position’ to land the player at this stage.
The publication says that as things stand, Stamford Bridge appears to be the Juve man’s most likely destination in the summer.
Juventus have not given up hope of holding onto Vlahovic
TEAMtalk say that talks over a renewal have stalled between the centre-forward and the Serie A giants for months.
The Old Lady proposed a reduction in Vlahovic’s current £10.4m per year salary, which the striker has been unwilling to accept.
Juve officials remain hopeful of reaching a resolution with the former Fiorentina man, but have agreed to park contract talks until the summer, leaving the door open for the player to exit on a free transfer.
