Two 16-year-olds, including a student, were detained for allegedly beating a Kandhamal man to death over theft suspicion in Ganjam. Police had previously arrested 20 individuals. The victim, Banadhar Pradhan, was tied to an electric pole and assaulted. His son denies his father's involvement in any theft, stating he was collecting vegetables.
