Latest planning applications in Dartford include plans for new classroom block at Ebbsfleet Green Primary School

Plans for a new classroom block and a re-consultation on outline planning permission for a 277-home development are among the latest applications submitted to Dartford council.

Kent County Council (KCC) is being consulted on plans to erect a single-storey modular building to the north of Ebbsfleet Green Primary School in Ackers Drive, Ebbsfleet Valley.

The building would provide additional classroom space for two new bulge classes, which are temporary additional classes added to a specific year group in a school to accommodate a short-term, sudden spike in demand for pupil places.

This would help the school accommodate rising pupil numbers.

A major housing scheme is also being reconsulted on, relating to land north of Maidstone Road in Swanley.

The outline proposal is seeking permission for up to 277 homes, alongside commercial floorspace, parking, landscaping and associated works.

In Longfield, plans have been submitted for the demolition of an existing bungalow and garage at Woodlawn in New Barn Road, to be replaced with a detached dwelling with an attached garage, outdoor swimming pool, terraces, landscaping and driveway alterations.

A linked application seeks to vary a previously approved scheme to extend the rear gable, alter the basement layout and amend details of the pool and terraces.
