Why We Love This Deal
If you’re eager to spend your tax refund money on home improvement, the Wayfair Tax Refund Sale is the place to do it. It might be an odd name for a sale at Wayfair, but it's offering up to 70% off select seasonal items ahead of spring that'll help you get both the inside and the outside of your home in working order. There's a big focus on greenhouses—there are many lawn and garden products featured, overall—including this one that’s now just $202 and is a must-check-out.
The Wukhg Outdoor Walk-In Greenhouse is 34% off in its 6-by-4 size. As a former research technician who’s spent some time in greenhouses, including at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, I can tell you that this is not a research-grade greenhouse, and that’s a good thing—those take a ton of people to operate. However, I do see something that seems manageable and effective for small home gardening setups in this model.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Materials: Aluminum frame, thick polycarbonate panels
- Wind Rating: 45 MPH
- Snow Load Capacity: 20 pounds
- Assembly Difficulty: Moderate
- Best Use Case: This is an excellent greenhouse for growing spring seedlings or a collection of mid-sized plants year-round
This greenhouse is made with tough polycarbonate, a preferred greenhouse siding material that’s harder to randomly break than glass and keeps out UV rays (which can actually damage plants rather than being “eaten” by them). UV rays are particularly damaging to immature plants and those that need to avoid direct sunlight, making this a great area for seed starting for plants you later intend to move to an outdoor garden.
Construction of the greenhouse is a moderate task and should take a couple of people about two or three hours. At the end, you’ll have a durable container that can resist winds as high as 45 MPH and up to 20 pounds of snow gathered on top. Another nice feature is the raisable roof panel, which will help you reduce temperatures if things get too toasty inside or you need a humidity reset.
One thing to note about this greenhouse is that it’s not very long. I don’t personally think that this is a huge problem, considering how effective it can be for short plants, seedlings, and even a few plants year-round, but you should know that a 6-by-7.5 version is available for just $80 more that will give you a much more standard greenhouse experience. Note that 6-by-8 polycarbonate greenhouses can easily cost nearly $800 and will quickly exceed $1,000 if you don’t watch it, so this one at $282 is still a fantastic way to get a good greenhouse experience.

How to Stage Your Greenhouse
My advice would be to put either some small metal garage shelves or wooden pallets inside to keep your plants on top of. Get a low-cost hygrometer/thermometer combo for easy environmental monitoring. Adding in yellow sticky pads pre-emptively will also go a long way in keeping white fly populations at bay.
What Gardeners Are Saying
One home gardener said, “This outdoor greenhouse is sturdy and gives my plants good protection from wind and sun.” They also noted that they’ve had a lot of success with opening the rooftop vent for more adequate airflow and temperature reduction.
Another shopper expressed how much they love the standard 6-by-4 size. “For me, it's the perfect size. It has plenty of room for the number and size of plants that I cherish.”
