Wayne Rooney predicts where Tottenham will finish in the Champions League
Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott have sent in their Champions League predictions for the English sides this season, including Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping for a positive run in the Champions League this season following a dismal Premier League campaign.
Spurs are already through to the round of 16 and are set to face one of Galatasaray or Atletico Madrid, two sides who came through their respective play-off rounds.
Galatasaray beat Juventus 7-5 on aggregate, while Atletico Madrid saw off Club Brugge 7-4 to book their spot in the next round, with both sides awaiting the draw to confirm whether they will face Spurs or Liverpool.

The next round of the Champions League is scheduled to take place in the weeks of 10-11 March and 17-18 March, with all Premier League sides securing a spot in the last 16.
Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott have now given their predictions for each English side heading into the last 16 of the UCL.
When asked how far Tottenham will go, the two former England internationals predicted that Spurs will not make it past the last 16.
Rooney expects Newcastle to be eliminated in the same round as Tottenham, while Walcott believes Eddie Howe’s side will go a step further to the quarter-finals.
Spurs face contrasting predictions to other Big Six clubs
Speaking about the likes of Chelsea, the former Manchester United man expects the Blues to go further than Spurs to the quarter-finals, while Walcott believes both sides will exit in the round of 16.
Predicting Liverpool and Manchester City’s runs, Rooney believes both will reach the semi-finals, while tipping Arsenal to go all the way to the final.
As for Walcott, he expects the Gunners to lift the trophy, a side that has never won the Champions League, while predicting Liverpool to reach the semi-finals and Manchester City the quarter-finals.
