Countries that are part of the OPEC+ oil cartel have announced they will boost production of crude oil. The decision came after U.S. and Israeli forces launched a major attack on Iran and the country responded with strikes on Israel and U.S. military installations around the Gulf, disrupting oil shipments from the region. Attacks throughout the region could restrict countries’ abilities to export oil to the rest of the world. Energy experts say that could lead to higher prices for crude oil and gasoline.
