“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Dad, Tommy DeCarlo, on Monday, March 9th, 2026. After being diagnosed with brain cancer last September, he fought with incredible strength and courage right up until the very end,” the children wrote.
They added, “During this difficult time, we kindly ask that friends and fans respect our family’s privacy as we grieve and support one another.”
Tommy‘s music career began in 2007 when he replaced Brad Delp as Boston’s lead singer after the bandmate’s death.
Before he joined the band, Tommy worked as a credit manager at Home Depot in North Carolina and he was inspired by Brad to pursue music.
We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to Tommy‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
