The European Union is weighing options to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open for global shipping. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas raised the issue on Monday ahead of meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers. The war in Iran has pushed energy prices up and disrupted supply chains far beyond oil. U.S. President Donald Trump has asked allies to help secure the strait, including France and Britain. Kallas says the EU can expand its Aspides mission or form a “coalition of the willing" of member nations' naval assets.
