Tiger Woods' Kids: Everything to Know About Sam and Charlie Woods

Tiger Woods, who is making headlines after getting arrested for a DUI after a rollover car crash, shares both children with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, whom he was married to from 2004 to 2010. Despite one of the most public divorces in sports history, the two have maintained a co-parenting relationship centered on giving their children as normal a life as possible.

Sam was born on June 18, 2007 during the third round of the U.S. Open, which her father went on to win. She is currently a freshman at Stanford University, the same school her father attended before leaving after two years to turn professional.

Sam has shown up for her father at some of his biggest moments. In 2022, she introduced him at his World Golf Hall of Fame induction, calling him "a fighter" and telling the crowd: "You've defied the odds every time." She has also caddied for him at multiple PNC Championships alongside her brother.

Woods has spoken openly about what Sam has taught him. "She has taught me how to be more patient," he said in 2021. "I don't ever want her to leave home."

Charlie Woods is Following in His Father's Footsteps

Charlie was born on February 8, 2009, and has been making noise in junior golf for several years, competing alongside his father at the PNC Championship since he was 11 years old. At the 2024 edition of that event, he recorded his first career hole-in-one, acing a 176-yard par-3 with a 7-iron.

In February 2026, Charlie verbally committed to play college golf at Florida State University, choosing the Seminoles over Stanford, where his father starred and his sister currently studies. He ranks 21st in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and ninth in the Class of 2027. His accomplishments include a win at the Team TaylorMade Invitational in May 2025, helping his high school team win a Florida state title, and a top-10 finish at the Junior PGA Championship.

Tiger's response to the commitment was simple and telling. "Congratulations, Charlie. I'm so proud of you on entering this next chapter of your life," he wrote.

Unlike his father, who was coached heavily from a young age by Earl Woods, Tiger has deliberately taken a hands-off approach with Charlie. "He just watches me do it, and then he kind of does it," Woods said in 2021. The goal, he has said, is to minimize pressure and let his son develop on his own terms.
