Kim Zolciak Loses Custody of Kids Until She Completes Therapy Amid Kroy Biermann Divorce
Kim Zolciak is not allowed to see her four youngest children until she completed therapy.
According to new court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday (April 3), the 47-year-old former Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been stripped of custody of the four children she shares with ex-husband Kroy Biermann until she finishes four mandatory parent therapy sessions.
Keep reading to find out more…For the time being, the four children – Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 13, and 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane – will reside with Kroy, 40.
According to the court order, the earliest Kim can be reunited with her children is April 13.
The ruling comes just days after Kroy requested sole custody of the former couple’s children over Kim‘s alleged “mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities.”
Kroy asked a judge to amend their joint custody agreement, alleging that Kim has been out of the country for weeks, according to TMZ.
The former pro football player reportedly insisted that “the facts surrounding [Zolciak’s] misguided parenting of the children, lack thereof, and blatant mismanagement of basic parenting responsibilities would be practically unbelievable to anyone not familiar with the circumstances.”
He also accused Kim of committing “fraud and deceit” when they agreed up their current joint custody agreement. He also alleged that Kim has only seen kids once between February 26 and March 29.
Kim slammed Kroy‘s allegations, sharing in a statement to TMZ, “These accusations are completely false and nothing more than a deliberate attempt by Kroy to defame my character. I spent five weeks away working on two TV shows to support my family and make sure my children are cared for—something I will never apologize for.”
She added, “I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am. I will not stay silent, the truth is on my side, and it will come to light—no matter how hard anyone tries to bury it.”
Kroy filed for divorce from Kim back in August 2023 and the two have been in a nasty legal battle ever since.
Along with the four children she shares with Kroy, Kim is also mom to daughters Brielle, 29, and Ariana, 24. After marrying Kim in 2011, Kroy legally adopted both Brielle and Ariana.
While appearing on WWHL last year, Kim addressed borrowing money from her adult daughters.
