Arsenal close in on signing Irish midfielder in record-breaking swoop

Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Shamrock Rovers youngster Victor Ozhianvuna, according to the Irish Independent.

The 16-year-old midfielder has caught the attention of top European clubs after a series of impressive performances in Ireland. Arsenal, however, appear to have moved ahead in the race to sign him.

The deal being discussed would break the League of Ireland’s current transfer record of €1.9 million. Sources say the final fee could go significantly higher.
