In March 2026, people in the country will be able to rest for almost half the month thanks to International Women’s Day and Nauryz Meyramy. How many days off Kazakhstanis will have in March 2026
In March, the country will celebrate two public holidays: International Women’s Day (8 March) and Nauryz Meyramy (21–23 March). Due to the shifting of rest days, Kazakhstanis will get more days off.
In 2026, March will be one of the “shortest” months in terms of the number of working days:

with a five-day workweek: 13 days off and 18 working days;with a six-day workweek: 9 days off and 22 working days.

How we rest for 8 March in 2026
In 2026, International Women’s Day falls on Sunday, 8 March. According to the rules for transferring rest days, Monday, 9 March, will also be a non-working day. The first working day after the long weekend will be Tuesday, 10 March.

How we rest for Nauryz in 2026
Nauryz Meyramy is traditionally celebrated from 21 to 23 March. In 2026 these days fall on:

21 March — Saturday;22 March — Sunday;23 March — Monday.

Since some of the holiday days coincide with weekends, additional days off are moved to 24 and 25 March.
Nauryz holiday schedule:

with a five-day workweek: 21–25 March — five days off in a row (Saturday to Wednesday);with a six-day workweek: 21, 22, 23 and 24 March — days off, 25 March — working day.
