Werth startet Special Blend anstatt Quantaz in Wellington

Wie Isabell Werth auf ihren Social Media-Kanälen mitteilte, hat sie anstelle von Quantaz nunmehr Special Blend mit zum World Cup nach Wellington genommen.

As Isabell Werth announced on her social media channels, she has now taken Special Blend to the World Cup in Wellington instead of Quantaz.

Geplant war, dass Isabell Werth mit dem jetzt 16-jährigen Quantaz nach Wellington fliegen würde, da sie eigentlich auch mit Quantaz das World Cup-Finale (Anfang April in Fort Worth / Texas) anvisieren wollte. Doch der Brandenburger Wallach von Quaterback hatte kurz vor dem Abflug ein dickes Bein, berichtet Isabell Werth. „Und da ich gerade auf Special saß und er so toll in Form ist…….“ erzählte Werth weiter.

Mit ‚Special‘ meint sie Special Blend, den 11-jährigen Oldenburger Sezuan-Sohn, der Isabell Werth bei Helgstrand Dressage gefunden hatte und der Anfang des Jahres an Natalie Stickling-Morzynski verkauft wurde, aber weiterhin in Rheinberg im Stall steht.

Für eine Teilnahme am World Cup-Finale hat Isabell Werth bislang nur ihr Top-Pferd Wendy de Fontaine qualifiziert (mit den Siegen in den Worldcup-Prüfungen von Amsterdam und Basel). Wenn sie ein anderes Pferd im texanischen Finale reiten wollen würde, müsste sie dieses noch qualifizieren.

The plan was for Isabell Werth to fly to Wellington with the now 16-year-old Quantaz, as she had originally intended to compete with him in the World Cup Final (early April in Fort Worth, Texas). However, the Brandenburg gelding by Quaterback developed a swollen leg shortly before departure, Werth explained. „And since I was riding Special at the time, and he’s in such great shape…“ Werth added.

By ‘Special’ she means Special Blend, the 11-year-old Oldenburg Sezuan-son, who found Isabell Werth at Helgstrand Dressage and who was sold to Natalie Stickling-Morzynski at the beginning of this year, but is still stabled in Rheinberg.

So far, Isabell Werth has only qualified her top horse, Wendy de Fontaine, for the World Cup Final (with her victories in the World Cup competitions in Amsterdam and Basel). If she would want to ride a different horse in the Texas final, she would first have to qualify it.
