Tokayev names Kazakhstan’s main strategic potential

Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has named Kazakhstan’s main strategic potential. The President stated this at a ceremonial event in Astana dedicated to International Women’s Day, according to Akorda.

“Our main strategic potential lies in infrastructure, technology, education and science. At any rate, this is how it should be. It is precisely these spheres that must become the launch pad for the confident forward movement of our nation along the path of progress, with the goal of turning our country into a civilized, harmonious society, free from semantic stereotypes and even remnants of the past,” the Head of State said.

At the same time, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that striving for a bright future does not mean forgetting one’s roots.

“The point is not to imitate global processes, but to preserve our own identity and remember the priceless heritage of the Great Steppe bequeathed by our ancestors. As we know, not every tradition stands the test of time. Therefore, while preserving continuity with the past, we must rely primarily on those values that meet the demands of modernity. Only in this way will we be recognized in the world as a truly creative nation,” the President said.

The Head of State noted that the draft of the new Constitution will make it possible to preserve our cultural code and strengthen national identity.

“In this way, the Basic Law is called upon to determine the main path of the country’s development, harmoniously combining tradition and progress,” he emphasized.
