Security tightens: NPA boss Hadiza Usman puts 7 security agencies at Nigerian sea ports (FULL LIST)

The federal government recently gave a directive that cargo should be cleared from Nigerian sea ports in 24 hours.
To meet up with this directive, the managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Hadiza Bala Usman on Wednesday, June 7, said that only seven government agencies would be allowed to operate inside the nation’s seaports.
While speaking in Lagos, the NPA boss made this disclosure after a joint meeting with stakeholders on how to meet with the executive order on port operations.
She listed the agencies to include:
1. NPA
2. Port Health
3. Police
4. Officials of the Department of State Security (DSS)

NAIJ.com earlier reported that 24 exported food products from Nigeria were rejected by the European Union (EU) in 2016 for failing to meet standards.
This was disclosed by the National Agency for Food Drug administration Control (NAFDAC) spokesman, Abubakar Jimoh, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday, June 5.

According to Jimoh, among the 24 rejected products, the major ones were palm oil, sesame seed, groundnut, and beans, which were illegally exported to the EU.
