Comey hints special counsel is looking into Trump for possible obstruction
Former FBI Director James Comey declined to give his opinion on whether President Trump had tried to obstruct justice in asking Comey to drop an investigation of former national security adviser Michael Flynn, but suggested the issue is being looked into by special counsel Robert Mueller. Comey testified that Trump had summoned him for a private conversation at the White House in February, one day after Flynn resigned over undisclosed contacts with Russian officials, and told him, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.
