Kidero: Entrust City affairs to us
Governor Evans Kidero 20th May, 2017 pleaded with the residents of the capital city to once again entrust the running of the affairs of the city to his team for realization of what he termed as a "continuous and development growth".
The Governor was addressing more than 2000 members of the Kenya Scout's Association who had gathered at the City Stadium to celebrate the movement Patron's Day.
Dr Kidero who is the Patron of the movement in Nairobi urged members who were drawn from all parts of the city to be committed and resilient as they serve mankind. " I urge you to always seek your inner satisfaction from the good service you offer to mankind. Be defenders of peace and givers to the society than receivers," Kidero said.
Referring to the 8th August,2017 election, the Governor asked the residents to entrust the leadership of the city to a person whose credibility and committed to serve has been proven and tested.
He asked the youthful scout members to be ambassadors of peace in Nairobi terming it "our home."
The Governor later lit "peace candles" and gave them to 17 sub counties scout representatives as a symbol of peace.
The Governor was accompanied by the Nairobi Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nairobi branch Chairman and the Party's Makadara parliamentary nominee for the August general election, Mr George Aladwa and the ODM's Nairobi Women nominee representative Ms Ester Passaris.
Also present at the event were Executive Committee Members-Anne Lokidor and Ann Onthoro, County Secretary Dr Robert Ayisi and County Chief of Staff, George Wainaina.
