Viewing the eclipse
The solar eclipse over the Bay Area will occur Monday from 9:01 a.m., when the moon begins to edge in front of the sun, to 11:37 a.m. Here’s a list of viewing opportunities:
The Exploratorium science museum at Pier 15 in San Francisco will conduct live eclipse viewing on the plaza in front of the building. Inside, images of the total eclipse will be live-streamed from Oregon and Wyoming onto viewing screens.
