Cyclist killed by man who was arrested for drunk driving
A woman bicycling on the rural outskirts of eastern Contra Costa County was struck by a car and killed Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Balfour Road just east of Sellers Avenue in southeast Brentwood, according to the California Highway.
The driver of the car, a 29-year-old Brentwood man whose name was not released, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the CHP.
