Cal women’s basketball dismisses guard Mercedes Jefflo
Guard Mercedes Jefflo has been dismissed from the Cal women’s basketball team, the athletic department announced in a news release Saturday morning.
The release declined to provide a reason for Jefflo’s dismissal, citing FERPA laws protecting students’ rights.
Jefflo averaged 10 points, three rebounds and 2.6 assists as a sophomore last season.
