Jnanpith awardee Girish Karnad has taken the controversy in his stride. In an interview to TOI on Wednesday, Karnad denied he had demanded renaming of the Bengaluru airport and strongly believes there can’t be any civilized debate on Tipu Sultan because of the right-wing group’s mindset.
